What is a MobilePack?
While much of Feed My Starving Children’s meals come from permanent packing sites in the Midwest, every year local groups around the country organize “MobilePacks” where local volunteers have the chance to pack nutritious meals for malnourished children. This is our second MobilePack here in NWA and we will be packing 155,520 meals.
What will I do?
Our MobilePack is divided into two-hour packing sessions. During the two hours, you will be given instructions, gather around a station made for about 20 volunteers, and assemble the ingredients of the MannaPack. This includes rice, chicken, soy, and veggies, all scientifically engineered to help starving children move from extreme malnutrition to becoming a healthy, vibrant child. It all begins with food. And you can be a part of changing a child’s life!
Can anyone participate?
All ages are welcome! Whether you are 9 or 90, there is a job for you! Most of the tasks require standing and placing ingredients in a bag. A few jobs, like the “warehouse” require heavy lifting while others, like the “labelers” allows volunteers to sit at tables and play with stickers! Even small children under the direction of parents can participate and lend a helping hand.
